birth doula

I love offering Birth Doula services for the Wenatchee Valley!

Doula clients may also enjoy birth photography discounts.

imagine...

Imagine the day you give birth – in a place where you feel safe (that may be at a hospital, a birthing center, or at home), with a care provider who you trust.

Being surrounded by people who bring calm, who support your decisions, who recognize your power and who honor your choices.  Using various pain management techniques you will be better able to cope and to be in control of your thoughts.

You are encouraged to listen to and trust your body.  You will feel heard and supported in your moments of vulnerability, and in your moments of strength.

(Sounds so good, right?)

Now, imagine your fresh little baby on your chest.

You close your eyes to soak in the moment, and you feel so proud of everything you accomplished.

You did it, mama.

You are strong and capable.  You deserve a wonderful and satisfying birth experience!

An experience where you felt heard, in control of decisions, and present.

As your doula, I want to help you and your partner achieve the birth you desire, and to ENJOY this day and these memories.  Even through obstacles, you are the decision maker – and that can make all the difference in being able to feel in control of your birth.

I can help guide you through this process, and all the different emotions you will experience on this journey.  While your Doctor or Midwife help you medically through your birth, I'll be at your side providing comfort, care and coaching for you and your partner.

Thanks! I can't wait to chat! xo, Christine :)

I have been involved with many births over the last decade as a birth photographer.  Home births, water births, births at the birthing center, births with the CVCH midwives, hospital births (all kinds - induced, natural hospital births, and epidural births), adoption, and fetal demises.  I LOVE birth, newborns, and helping pregnant moms.

Ever since I can remember, all I wanted to do was be a mom.  I attended my first three births while still a CNA student in high school.  I loved it just as much as I thought I would.  I have three boys of my own, and am now transitioning out of the child bearing stage of life - which is hard for me.  But life goes on, and being a doula is such an incredible way for me to fill in those gaps in my heart.

I completed birth doula training at Bastyr University's Simkin Center in Bellevue under Penny Simkin, Kim James, Teri Shilling, and Laurie Levy and feel fortunate to draw on their decades of experience.
